Awaz FM Mission Statement
Awaz FM serves the Asian and African community in Glasgow, delivering entertainment, community information, local, national and international news broadcasting in Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Swahili and English.
“Awaz” translates as “voice” in Urdu and Hindi languages.
Awaz FM is the voice of Glasgow’s BME communities and their respective faiths. A voice to let the people of Glasgow express their needs and desires. It provides organisations an opportunity to use Awaz FM as a platform to deliver their aims and objectives.
Awaz FM has established itself as the only media platform since 1997 to be serving the BME Community of Glasgow.
