George grew up passionately listening to radio in Zimbabwe but had given up on dreaming to be heard on the airwaves so when an opportunity beckoned at Awaz FM he embraced it with his ‘big heart’ and went through the rungs of in-house training at Awaz towards the end of 2008.

George mooted and sold the idea of Movers and Shakers to  producer of Africa Live, George Tah, who agreed to give him a chance. Movers and Shakers is a 5-min slot whose thrust is to explore and showcase role models of African origin in all spheres of life be it sport, music, politics, academia and so on. His commitment has seen him getting more time on Africa Live under the mentorship and tutelage of George Tah and he is enjoying the show with all that it brings – networking, research, music and the experience of having his voice transmitted into the many homes of Scotland and beyond courtesy of the marvel of technology the internet gets Africa Live to be heard even in Africa.
